Additionally, Airtel Nigeria has partnered with Samsung to offer affordable 5G smartphones and is subsidizing the cost of 5G routers to make the technology more accessible to Nigerians.

Mr. Carl Cruz, the Managing Director of Airtel Nigeria, stated that 5G brings forth a completely new experience, enabling powerful and fast connectivity for cloud computing, telemedicine, self-driving cars, cloud gaming, augmented reality, virtual reality, Internet of Things (IoT), smart homes, and more. He emphasized that Airtel 5G will empower creatives and entrepreneurs in various industries, such as tech, medicine, fashion, retail, communications, and media, to explore new ideas and possibilities.

Cruz expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration and economic benefits that 5G would bring, praising the Nigerian government's commitment to making 5G a reality early on in the country. He assured that Airtel Nigeria would ensure wide accessibility of 5G by leveraging the allocated frequency spectrum band.
