The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Pastor Paul Enenche, on Sunday, empowered over 520 orphanages and the less-privileged, at the Headquarters of the Church in Abuja.

 

The beneficiaries were also trained to acquire various skills and vocations.

The empowerment programme which had over 30,000 youths and children in attendance underscored part of the activities lined up to mark Enenche’s 55th birthday celebration.

 

Some of the items distributed to the beneficiaries included – sewing machines, monetary gifts, washing machines, ovens, food items, and other materials that would help the orphanages and the less privileged, who are young entrepreneurs expand their various careers.

 

Speaking at the event, Pastor Enenche appreciated God for being alive and the ability to express God’s love to the less privileged in our society.

 

He explained that the empowerment scheme is a continuous programme that has been scheduled to coincide with his annual birthday celebrations and during other festive periods.

“I realised that Jesus Christ didn’t just preach the gospel with words anywhere; rather, there was a need to meet practicality, so he multiplied food.

“For example, for people who are in need of food, and experience these kind of things. This is the inspiration that the gospel is not only preached to the world, it is preached, and people may not hear what you say, but they believe what you do when they see the action,” Enenche noted.

 

He urged Christians to live their lives with the fear of God and also live their lives with a practical representation of the God who sent us to this earth.

 

On her part, the wife of the pastor, Becky Enenche stressed that the empowerment is a continuous act of generosity, adding that it would always fulfil destiny and impact more lives.

 

Some of the beneficiaries, Obangunwa Onuora and Anita Torkwase, hailed the cleric for the kind gestures and prayed to God to uphold him and his family.
